Show Off Friday
I have been in Colorado at a fabulous sewing retreat.  I have so much to show and tell, but I
am not quite ready(still doing laundry : )  I did finish my mini quilt for my guild challenge!

You will have to click on the picture for a better view.  I hand stitched with
crochet thread and used a scrappy binding.

I haven't done my laundry because today was beautiful and I spent all my time playing in
my garden....so here are a few more garden pictures.

Now it is your turn to link up something~~~~what do you have for

Show Off Friday

There are no rules for this link up party....this is just the place to show off

little quilt monday~~~X and + mini quilt

Little Quilt Monday

I am working on my X and + mini quilt for a OKCMQG challenge using Madrona Road fabric.
The tutorial for this block can be found here at Badskirt.

I have wanted to make this block since the first time I saw it, but it has been on my
list of many things that I want to make : )  As it turned out, it was the block of the month
for our guild in March.  So this seemed like a great way to try out the quilt block and work
on my mini quilt challenge!

X and Plus quilt block

It is a great scrappy block and I now know that I will make it again.  That is one of the fun things
about mini quilts....you can try something first to see if you like it.

I have added linen borders and I put the quilt block off-center.

As you can see, I am quilting with big stitches using embroidery thread.
I do enjoy those big stitches!

Now it is your turn to link up something to

3.  If it is something from the past there is no need to write a new blog post, just link the one that you have already written, and, please link back to my blog post.

4.   If you are interested, you can add your pictures to my flickr group here, or join my Facebook group here.
